Important Beauty Information ~
- Always Use Professional Salon Products. I carry plenty in my salon or check out my products page for a link to have them delivered straight to your home. I cannot guarantee your color without using the correct products.
- Products make a difference, if you're using heat you need to be protecting from heat. You also need to make sure you are using the correct temperature for your hair type/ hair texture / hair color. If the heat is too hot and you have processed hair it can cause your hair to melt. Think PROTECTION. If you aren't using heat your hair still needs love, a leave in conditioner is perfect for doing nothing with your hair! If you aren't sure what to use just shoot me a text, I will gladly answer any questions.
- Make sure you are combing wet hair with a Wet Brush Or a wide tooth comb. Wet brushes are available at my salon.
- If you have hard water you can save your hair color by purchasing a filter for soft water and it will keep your hair and wallet happy :) Hard water causes blondes to become yellow and brunettes to become brassy orange. Colorado is huge on hard water so check yours to make sure!
- I recommend Blondes using a purple shampoo once a week at least to keep yellow tones away.
- Give your hair TLC. If you aren't doing anything or even just have an extra 15 minutes, do a hair mask. Your hair can always use some love. IMPORTANT: a mask doesn't always mean MOISTURE. If you are using moisture masks on your hair and not seeing results it is because you need a PROTEIN mask. Your hair is lacking the protein it needs to strengthen/rebuild the hair. P.S.- use a professional salon bought mask, not a home made egg avacado pinterest one :)
- CLEAN HAIR IS BETTER FOR COLOR APPOINTMENTS - Dirty hair is better for up-do's.
- Do not shampoo hair everyday. You are stripping the natural oils needed for your hair/scalp. Colored clients, you are fading color quicker.
- When shampooing the hair use warm - cool water. When rinsing conditioner use cold water. Hot water opens the hair cuticle. Cold water shuts down the cuticle and locks in the moisture.
